Our DFW Home

Our dedicated Alzheimer’s research team has committed their careers to discovering innovative solutions for individuals and communities most affected by Alzheimer’s disease. By focusing on translational research, we aim to drive breakthroughs that improve patient outcomes, accelerate advancements in Alzheimer’s studies, and enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.

Alzheimer's research team

The Institute for Translational Research (ITR) at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas, focuses on precision medicine approaches to brain disease, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, Down syndrome, Dementia with Lewy bodies and others. HSC’s ITR is dedicated to understanding and eliminating health disparities in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). The Health & Aging Brain Study – Health Disparities (HABS-HD) is the most comprehensive study of Alzheimer's among diverse communities ever conducted.
